Puerto Vallarta Race Gear Guide: 2027 Dates and Distance Planning

For Puerto Vallarta, the first equipment check is the edition of the document you are reading. Current event dates and a linked runner guide do not necessarily describe the same year.

This guide belongs to our Mexico race directory. It uses confirmed schedule information and provides an early preparation workflow without presenting an unverified 2027 mandatory list.

What is confirmed for the next event

The registration page lists March 4–6, 2027. The race list places Hikuri 81K and Nakawé 53K on March 5, and Haramara 37K, Ereno 20K and Pata Salada 5K on March 6.

At this check, the download on the runner-guide page is a 2026 guide. Its schedule should not replace the 2027 race pages. Consult the mandatory-equipment page and confirm the applicable 2027 specifications before deciding the kit is complete.

Make a distance-specific preparation sheet

Put your registered race name at the top. Add fields for start location, check-in arrangements, required equipment and confirmed aid intervals. Fill these as the correct-edition documents are available.

Keep a note of the source for each entry. If a schedule or route changes, that will help you update the affected field instead of rebuilding the entire plan from memory.

Do not turn a list for 81K into a universal list for 5K. Start with the event's requirements for your format, then add the items you need for the conditions and time you expect on course.

Rehearse the refill routine early

Use the containers you plan to carry and fill them before the test. Try removing, opening, refilling and replacing them with the full vest on. If using a reservoir, test access to the refill opening with your clothing packed.

The flask and reservoir guide can help you choose the method you can manage. Decide carried volume from the applicable rule and your own section plan once the route and aid details are confirmed.

Keep registration items apart from running supplies

Make a travel and check-in group for identification and documents, and a separate race group for the kit you will carry. Pack the vest from the race group. Keep check-in information accessible without pulling out water containers or clothing.

A preparation sheet can also note what you still need to ask the organizer. Write an unresolved requirement as a question, rather than quietly replacing it with a rule from another event.

Preparation stage Useful action now
Identify the race Match your registered name to the current race page
Verify the edition Check the year inside each downloaded document
Practice access Refill and replace containers with the vest full
Finalize the load Apply the confirmed list and current aid details

This is an early preparation workflow, not a mandatory kit specification.

Fit the complete load when the list is final

Use our packing workflow to distribute items and reserve a spot for wrappers. Use the sizing steps with water filled and all required clothing inside.

Do not assume a pack's liter rating guarantees compliance or adequate water. Choose from the actual kit you need, then rehearse the arrangement before departure.
